Qumrul Hoda For the Respondent/s : Mr. Rajan Prakash AC to GA-2 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SATYAVRAT VERMA ORAL ORDER 2 30-01-2025 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned AC to GA-2. 2. The Court finds no merit in the writ application, as such, is not inclined to entertain the same for reasons to be recorded hereinafter, the petitioners are seeking appointment on the ground that their names find mention in the final selection list prepared on 30.12.2008 for appointment of Prakhand Teachers in Block- Azamnagar, District- Katihar, the merit list was challenged by some candidates whose name did not figure in the merit list, the said writ application came to be allowed by an order dated 25.07.2011 in CWJC No. 11373 of 2009 against which the State of Bihar filed LPA No. 858 of 2012 and the LPA No. 858 of 2012 was allowed by an order dated 12.09.2014. Patna High Court CWJC No.17787 of 2024(2) dt.30-01-2025 3/3 3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that since the merit list which was published in the year 2008 attained finality after LPA No. 858 of 2012 came to be allowed, as such, the authorities be directed to consider the case of the petitioners for appointment in pursuance of their name figuring in the merit list of the year 2008. 4. The Court is not inclined to accede to the prayer of the petitioners for the reason that persons who sleep over their right, they cannot knock the doors of the Court at their leisure, it absolutely does not stand to reason that as to why the petitioners after 2014 never approached this Court for seeking a direction for consideration of their case for appointment after the order was passed in LPA No. 858 of 2012. 5. The writ application is dismissed. Rishabh/- (Satyavrat Verma, J) U
