The petitioner has filed the present petition with a prayer to issue a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of the show cause notice dated 03.08.2024 (Annexure P-1) and the order of punishment dated 10.07.2025 (Annexure P-6), whereby, the recovery has been ordered to be effected from the petitioner. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner had filed an appeal on 30.07.2025 (Annexure P-7) against the order dated 10.07.2025 (Annexure P-6) and the said appeal is still pending before the respondent No. 1. On the one hand, the appeal has not been disposed off whereas, on the other hand, the official-respondents have started the recovery from the AMIT RANA 2025.09.03 17:05 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this judgement/order CWP 25949 of 2025 -2- salary of the petitioner, in pursuance of order dated 10.07.2025 (Annexure P-6) passed by the respondent No. 2. 3. On advance notice, Mr. Surya Kumar, AAG, Punjab, has appeared on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 and submits that the appeal (Annexure P-7) filed by the present petitioner shall be disposed off by respondent No. 1 within a period of 03 months from today, by passing a speaking and well reasoned order in accordance with law. He has further assured the Court that till the disposal of the appeal by the competent authority, no recovery shall be effected from the petitioner, in compliance of the order dated 10.07.2025 (Annexure P-6) passed by the respondent No. 2. 4.
