JUSTICE ANANT RAMANATH HEGDE) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Advocate for the respondents. 2. The petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct respondents No.2 and 3 to consider the representations dated 20.01.2025 and 23.01.2025. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the representation seeking police protection is not yet considered. He would also submit that the petitioner is ready to pay the necessary charges in case the police protection is provided pursuant to consideration of the representation. 4. Learned Additional Government Advocate would submit that the police protection cannot be claimed as of right, - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC-K:1511 WP No. 200617 of 2025 and respondents No.2 and 3 have to take a decision considering the merits of the representation. 5. Under these circumstance the following ORDER i) The writ petition is disposed of. ii) Respondent Nos.2 and 3 shall consider the prayer of the petitioner in terms of Annexures H, H1 & H2 and thereafter pass appropriate order by considering the merits of the application in accordance with law. iii) It is further made clear that nothing is expressed on the merit of the representation. iv) This exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from today.
