This Court, vide order dated 08.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 4508 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicants, namely, Deepak Yadav and Amit Patel had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raigarh District-Raigarh (C.G) vide his request letter dated 03.02.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in this case there are 18 prosecution witnesses and till date no one has been examined. The case was previously under the jurisdiction of the First Additional Sessions Judge for hearing cases related to the NDPS Act. However, due to the vacant in that Court, the concerned Court has been granted jurisdiction to hear NDPS cases as per the order of the Hon’ble High Court (Order No. 400/Checker/III-6-1/(Part-III) N.D.P.S. Bilaspur dated 08.01.2025). Therefore, it is not possible to conclude the trial within the specified time, therefore, he prays for grant of further more time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of five months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
