For Petitioners : Mr.D.Thirumoorthy For Respondents : Mr.A.Selvendran for R1 to R4 Special Government Pleader O R D E R The petitioners would submit that the subject properties were allotted to them under the Special Scheme of Tamil Nadu Land Distribution (Poor & Landless Farmers) Special Plan, 2007, vide proceedings dated 13.09.2007 passed in Aa.M.87-130/1417/B3. Subsequent to allotment of the subject properties, the petitioners had approached the Authorities concerned several times requesting to issue chitta for the land owned by them. However, the same was not considered. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.1088 of 2025 2.Therefore, the petitioners made representations to the respondents on 02.01.2023 and 20.06.2024. Despite the receipt of the said representations, the steps have not been taken to issue chitta to the property Therefore, the petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition for mandamus. 3.Considering the limited request, mandamus is issued to the third respondent to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 02.01.2023 and 20.06.2024 for issuing chitta to the property, after giving due notice to the petitioners and pass orders after giving them a personal hearing and an opportunity to submit their records. The third respondent shall pass a speaking order, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
