1. The petitioner has filed the present writ petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing respondents to grant the petitioner Ist ACP grage Pay Rs.15600-39100+6600 (Grade Pay) w.e.f 25.04.2020 on completion of four years regular satisfactory service under the provision of Punjab Civil Services (Assured Carrier Progression) Rule 2008 including arrears with interest @ 18% per annumn.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already served a legal notice dated 12.07.2025 (Annexure P-7) on the official respondents and they shall be satisfied in case, appropriate directions are issued to the respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 12.07.2025 (Annexure P-7).

At this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 12.07.2025 (Annexure P-7) submitted by the petitioner, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order by passing a speaking and well reasoned
order. In case, it is found that the petitioner is entitled to the relief claimed in the legal notice dated 12.07.2025 (Annexure P-7), consequential benefits may also be released to the petitioner along with some reasonable rate of interest.
