For the Respondent: Ms. Shradha Karol and Mr. Vaibhav Chauhan, Advocates. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Judge Petitioner has invoked Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (in short ‘the Act’) for extending the mandate of learned Arbitral Tribunal in Claim Nos.41 to 43. 2. Following facts have not been disputed by learned counsel for the parties:- 2(i). For settlement of the dispute between the parties involved in Claim Nos.41 to 43, learned Tribunal was originally constituted under order dated 05.01.2023 passed by this Court in Arbitration Case No.03 of 2022. 2(ii). Learned Tribunal held preliminary hearing on 01.02.2023. 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 2(iii). The Tribunal was reconstituted by the Hon’ble Apex Court vide order dated 24.03.2023 passed in SLP(C) Nos.4886-4887/2023. Procedural timelines were drawn by the learned Tribunal on 08.04.2023. 2(iv). As on date, the pleadings are complete. Evidence in form of affidavit has been produced. The case is at the stage of arguments. 2(v). Mandate of learned Arbitral Tribunal expired on 15.03.2025, hence, need has arisen for moving this application under Section 29A of the Act. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent has no objection for extending the mandate of the learned Tribunal. 4. Considering the fact that the arbitration case is at the stage of arguments, this application is allowed. Mandate of learned Tribunal is hereby extended by eight months, to be reckoned w.e.f. 15.03.2025.
