....Petitioner Versus STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS ....Respondents
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SUBHAS MEHLA
Present: Mr. Kanwar Abhay Singh, Advocate
for the petitioner.
Mr. Subhash Godara, Addl. A.G. Punjab.
**** SUBHAS MEHLA, J (Oral):
1.
Petitioner has filed present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 1 and 2 to protect life and liberty of petitioner from the hands of private respondent No.3.
2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner has an apprehension of threat from private respondent No.3 as the representation moved by him before the authority concerned has been dismissed and after the dismissal, he is apprehending threats.
3.
In pursuance of the advance notice, Mr. Subhash Godara, Addl. A.G. Punjab appeared and submitted that on the representation of the petitioner, an FIR No.100 dated 26.06.2025 under Sections 127(1), 303(2) and 351 (2) of BNS, 2023, at Police Station, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana has already been registered.
4.
The present petition is disposed of, as action has already been taken by the concerned authority so nothing survives to continue. If still aggrieved then, he is at liberty to take legal remedy available to him in accordance with law.
