Grievance of the petitioner is that work amounting to Rs.54,430,88/- has been performed by the petitioner contractor, yet the admitted dues of the petitioner are not being released. Learned Standing Counsel has obtain instructions from the District Panchayat Raj Officer, Agra, according to which amount of Rs.30,81,937/- has been paid and the remaining claim is being examined so that balance amount, if any, would be paid within a period of two weeks. In view of the stand taken by the respondents, we dispose of this writ petition, with a direction upon respondent no.4 to examine the petitioner's claim and release the admitted dues of the petitioner within a further period of six weeks.
