Rana, learned counsel for the petitioner Sujay Pramanik @ Sujoy Paramanik, who has filed this application under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 with prayer for pre-arrest bail as he is apprehending arrest in connection with Bongaigaon Police Station Case No. Page No.# 2/3 64/2025 under Section 69 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 2. Heard Mr. K. Baishya, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam. 3. The allegation against the petitioner is that he induced the victim to have physical relationship with false promises of marriage and even after fixing a date for marriage, the petitioner refused to solemnize his marriage with the victim. 4. I have scrutinized the Case Diary and I have also considered the submissions at the bar. Investigation has progressed substantially. It appears that custodial interrogation may not be required. The petitioner has pledged to cooperate with the investigation. 5. Considering all aspects, petition is allowed. 6. In the event of his arrest, the petitioner shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with a suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority under the conditions that :- the petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within one week and cooperate with the investigation, failing which pre-arrest bail granted to the petitioner shall automatically stand cancelled. 7.
