HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - A No. - 13876 of 2025 Court No. - 4 HON'BLE AJIT KUMAR, J.
1. Heard Sri Atmaram Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Rahul Malviya, learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order dated 21.12.2024 whereby the claim of the petitioner for appointment on the post of Constable has been put to end only for want of due police verification. 3. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that soon after selection petitioner got married to one Vipul on 17.02.2025 and both husband and wife started living with the mother of the petitioner. Subsequently she conceived and had to undergo treatment which continued till 26.04.2025 and she faced the fate of abortion on
20.12.2025. Hence she could not submit details to the respondent concerned. It is contended that the petitioner is ready to give details of her husband's address as well as ready to state the fact on notarized affidavit before respondent no.3 about the factum of living of husband and wife together at petitioner's mother's place. 4. Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instruction Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Atmaram Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Jyoti Sigh .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. And 2 Others .....Respondent(s)
which is taken on record and a copy of which has also been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner. From the instruction it clearly transpires that petitioner's verification could not be done because petitioner could not disclose the name of her husband. It further transpires that on 16.04.2024 petitioner was required to furnish certain details as the said letter stood addressed to the Superintendent of Police, Jaunpur. 5. In view of the above, I consider it appropriate for the petitioner to furnish the details as per the letter dated 16.4.2024 within a period of six weeks from today before respondent no.3 who shall then carry out fresh police verification within a further period of one month. 6. Petitioner prays for being appointed as Constable pursuant to the selection held which shall depend upon the police verification report that is to be obtained as directed hereinabove. 7. The order impugned dated 21.12.2024 shall abide by the final order passed by the authority after due police verification report. 8.
With the aforesaid observations and directions, this petition stands disposed of. September 16, 2025 Deepika WRIA No. 13876 of 2025 2 (Ajit Kumar,J.) Digitally signed by :- DEEPIKA SINGH High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
