HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 2981 of 2025 Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE KSHITIJ SHAILENDRA, J. 1. This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the authorities for removal of encroachments by respondents no. 5 to 8 over several Arazis, which, according to the petitioner, are recorded as Kabristan, Naveen Parti, pond and Banjar. 2. A perusal of the record indicates that in one of the representations, the petitioner has indicated some personal dispute with the respondents, wherein it has been alleged that parental land belonging to the family of the petitioner, has been encroached by the respondents and they are threatening the petitioner. The record further indicates that except for the representations, which are repetitive in nature, no further material establishing the construction/nature of construction/life of construction has been placed on record. 4. Filing of a Public Interest Litigation in the said circumstances where admittedly there is personal dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents and with wholly cursory material on record, cannot be entertained. The same is, therefore, dismissed. September 24, 2025 nd Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Lal Mani Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : Meenakshi Singh, A.C.S.C.
