A case was registered in Cr.No.371 of 2022 for the alleged offence under Sections 143, 341, 269 and 504 of I.P.C. The final report was filed on 12.06.2022, and the accused have been facing trial since then. Thus, it can be seen that the allegations concern exercising the democratic right to protest. Given the context and nature of allegations, continuing the trial impinges on the right to a speedy trial of the accused. No useful purpose will be served by continuing the case. 3.Accordingly, the case in S.T.C.No.1469 of 2022 of Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Dharmapuri Taluk, Dharmapuri, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of. 17.09.2025 ep Note to the Trial Court: This order is digitally signed and communicated electronically alone.
