The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.21 dated 07.03.2017, under Section(s) 379-B, 356 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Chhajli, Sunam, District Sangrur. 2
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was out on bail in the aforesaid FIR, however, on account of injuries sustained by him on 15.02.2023, he was admitted in AIIMS Bathinda. appear before the trial Court and consequently, he was declared a proclaimed person vide order dated 28.10.2024 which such order has already been set aside by this Court vide order dated 20.12.2024. She contends that petitioner intends to appear before the trial Court and join the stream of law, however, on account of his prolonged illness, he may not be taken into custody. 3

Mr. Saurav Verma, Addl. A.G. Punjab, accepts notice and does not dispute the aforesaid factual aspect. 5
Having heard the rival submissions advanced by the counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts noticed above, the instant petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to appear before the trial Court within a period of 02 weeks from today. On doing so, he shall be admitted to bail on his furnishing fresh bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court. The petitioner shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023.
