Sr. No. 7
IN THE HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT SRINAGAR
WP(C) 3315/2023 ABUL QASIM
…Petitioner(s)/appellant(s) Through: None.
Vs.
THE STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION AND ORS.
...Respondent(s)
Through: Ms. Rehana Qayoom, Advocate vice Mr. T M Shamshi, DSGI
CORAM:
HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJNESH OSWAL, JUDGE
O R D E R 16-09-2025
Called twice, none appeared for the petitioner. While sifting through the record, we find that on July 14th 2025, a Coordinate Bench had dismissed the petition for non prosecution:
“None for the petitioner. Mr. T.M Shamsi, learned counsel appearing for the respondents, submits that the selection process which was initiated by the Staff Selection Commission vide notification dated 23.05.2025 appears to have been finalized, thereby rendering this petition infructuous. Since nobody has turned up for the petitioner, it seems that the petitioner has lost interest to pursue this petition. Dismissed for non-prosecution. Interim direction, if any, subsisting shall stand vacated.”
However, upon an application being moved by the petitioner, vide order dated September 9th 2025, the petition was restored. And on the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the matter was adjourned for today. Aadil Hussian Bhat I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
Called twice. Again, as indicated above, none is present to pursue the petition on behalf of the petitioner. That being so, the Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.
