This Court, vide order dated 07.11.2024, passed in MCRC No. 7446 of 2024, while rejecting the bail to the applicant, namely, Narendra Singh, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of three months, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Janjgir, District-Janjgir- KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 Champa (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 01.02.2025 has requested for grant of one month’s time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the statement of accused has been recorded in the case and the case is at the stage of final arguments. There are 26 prosecution witnesses in this case and on the basis of their evidence, about 800 questions have been prepared for the accused statement. Considering the number of witnesses and evidence in this case, it is likely to take some more time therefore, he prays for grant of further one month’s time for concluding the same. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
