PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners herein/A2 and A3, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.304 of 2024 of Anakapalli Rural Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 read with 8(c) of the NDPS, Act. 2. Brief facts of the case are that, on 03.12.2024, on receipt of credible information, the Sub-Inspector of Police along with his staff and mediators rushed to Vooderu Junction and found the accused in possession of 100Kgs of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 2 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the material on record. 4. The petitioners herein were arrested on 03.12.2024 and since then they have been in judicial custody. The quantity of contraband involved in present crime is 100Kgs of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioners do not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
