BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SUMAN SHYAM ORDER Date : 26-05-2025 Heard Mr. A.C. Borbora, learned Sr. counsel for the writ petitioner. Also heard Mr. N.R. Sharma, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Ms. B. Bhuyan, learned Sr. counsel engaged in this matter on behalf of the respondent Nos. 1 to 4. The grievance of the petitioner was pertaining to non-payment of arrear increment and consequent failure to make proportionate NPS contribution, thus causing serious prejudice to the interest of the petitioner. Today when the matter is called up, Mr. Sharma, learned counsel for the respondent has produced a copy of the notification dated 20-05-2024, issued by the OSD (Joint Secretary), Assam Legislative Assembly, a perusal of which goes to show that the grievance of the petitioner on both counts, as noted above, have already been redressed. Mr. Borbora, learned Sr. counsel for the petitioner, on perusal of the communication dated 20-05-2024 has also agreed to the same. If that be so, nothing further survives for adjudication in this writ petition. By retaining a copy of the communication dated 20-05-2024 with the record of this case, this writ petition, therefore, stands closed by observing that necessary follow up action, as per the notification, be now initiated as expeditiously as possible, if not already done.
