HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - C No. - 32098 of 2025 Court No. - 32 HON'BLE CHANDRA DHARI SINGH, J. 1. Present petition has been filed seeking following reliefs:- "a. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the objection/appeal of the petitioners after hearing the parties, in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court." 2. After some length of argument on merit, learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioners without pressing the matter on merit made innocuous prayer that the appeal dated 05.12.2024 which is pending before Respondent no.2 Commissioner, Meerut Region, Meerut may be directed to be decided in time bound manner. 3. Per contra, Sri R. P. Tiwari, learned Standing counsel appearing for the State-respondents vehemently opposed the instant petition on merit but he has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners for deciding the appeal pending before respondent no.2. 4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri R. P. Tiwari, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents and perused the contents made in the petition. 5. Since, learned counsel for the petitioners has not pressed the petition on merit and only made innocuous prayer to decide the appeal expeditiously in time bound manner, I am inclined to allow the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners to which learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of State-respondents has no objection. 6. The respondent no. 2 namely Commissioner, Meerut Region, Meerut is directed to decide the aforesaid appeal dated 05.12.2024 after giving opportunity of hearing to all the effected parties expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
