The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner for directions to the respondents No.1 to 5 to protect her life and liberty from the respondents No.6 to 10. 2. The learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed a representation dated 26.08.2025 (Annexure P-1) before the respondents No.2 & 4. The learned counsel prays for directions to the police authorities to decide the abovementioned representation within a stipulated time. 3. Notice of motion to the respondents No.1 to 5 only. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction for disposing of the representation of the petitioner (Annexure P-1) be given to the respondents No.2 & 4 and that the instant writ petition be disposed of accordingly. 6. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents No.2 & 4 to pass a speaking order and decide the representation of the petitioner (Annexure P- 1) within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of copy of instant order. 7. It is further directed that the petitioner shall be provided requisite safety and security to protect her life and liberty, if required. It is however clarified that any observation is not being made by this Court with regard to threat perception to the petitioner. The police authority of District Amritsar and Gurdaspur shall be at liberty to make an independent assessment of the threat perception to the petitioner, and take a decision on the issue of providing security to her.
