Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record. Heard learned counsels for the parties. The petitioner is a licensed contractor and was the lowest bidder in the 4 e-tenders floated by the Panchayat on 19th May, 2025. Execution of the work was completed within time and bills were raised. The petitioner alleges that not a single penny has been cleared by the authority since then. The petitioner submitted separate representations before the authority on 31st July, 2025 seeking clearance of his dues which are yet to be considered. Learned counsel for the Panchayat submits that the representations be directed to be considered by the authority within a stipulated time frame. 2 In view of the above, the Pradhan, Gokulnagar Gram Panchayat, being the 4th respondent herein, is directed to consider and dispose of the representations submitted by the petitioner on 31st July, 2025 within two weeks from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all concerned including the petitioner, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereof. The authority shall take necessary steps for disbursal of the amount upon verification of the documents submitted by the petitioner within the said time. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
