(Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for setting-aside the impugned speaking order/reply dated 29.02.2024 (Annexure P-5) whereby the claim of the petitioner regarding the interest on delayed payments has been declined. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the respondents to grant interest to the petitioner @ 18% per annum on the delayed payments of retiral benefits/due service benefits. Learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail the alternative remedy as available to him, in accordance with law. Dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid.
