This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "I- Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 1 to decide expeditiously preferably within a short span of time the Case No. 407, under section 229-B of Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, 1952 (Bhullar etc. Versus Gaon Sabha and others). II-Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 1 to consider forthwith the application dated 27.06.2025 of petitioners treating it under section 229 D of U. P. Z. A. and L. R. Act, 1952 and direct the respondents to maintain status quo and not to change the nature of the plot in dispute till the decision of the Case No. 407, under section 229-B of U. P. Z. A. and L. R. Act, 1952 (Bhullar etc. Vs. Gaon Sabha and others)." 2. It is contended that a declaratory suit filed under Section 229B of the U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act is pending consideration. Learned counsel for the petitioner also states that an application under Section 229D is also pending consideration. The sole prayer made is for expeditious disposal of the same. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction to the respondent no. 1- Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Tehsil Phoolpur, Prayagraj, to proceed to decide the application filed under Section 229D of the U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act in accordance with law preferably within Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ratnesh Pratap Singh, Sunil Kumar Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : Azad Rai, C.S.C. Bhullar And 9 Others .....Petitioner(s) Sub Divisional Magistrate Tahsil-Phoolpur District-Prayagraj And 2 Others .....Respondent(s) a period of two weeks from today and thereafter, to proceed to decide the Case No. 407 (Bhullar etc. Vs. Gaon Sabha and others) under section 229B of U.P. Z.A. and L.R. Act, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits. September 16, 2025 A. V.
