This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Issue suitable direction directing to the Commissioner Varanasi Region, Varanasi to decide the Case No. 00239 of 2019 (Computerized Case No. C201914000000239), Taufeeque Ahemad and others vs. Dharmendra Kumar and others under Section 331(3), Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, 1950, filed by petitioners pending in the Court of Commissioner Varanasi Division, Varanasi, expeditiously within a stipulated period which may be specified by this Hon'ble Court." 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that an appeal is pending in proceedings under Section 331(3) of the U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act, for consideration. The sole prayer made is for expeditious disposal of the same. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction to the Commissioner, Varanasi Region, Varanasi to decide Case No. 00239 of 2019 (Computerized Case No. C201914000000239), Taufeeque Ahemad and others vs. Dharmendra Kumar and others, under Section 331(3) of the U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits. September 16, 2025 A. V.
