No.618 of 2025. 2. The case was registered in Cr.No.628 of 2013 for the alleged offence under Section 294(b) of I.P.C. r/w. 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act. The defacto complainant is present. The case is pending from the year 2013 at the stage of execution of warrant on the accused. Considering the factual matrix, context of the case, the reason for absence from his usual place, and the submission that, despite best efforts, the warrant could not be executed, it is evident that even if the accused is brought to face trial, it would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial. Due to the passage of time, a meaningful trial is unlikely, and no useful purpose would be served. 4. Accordingly, the proceedings in C.C.No.700021 of 2016 of Additional Mahila Court, (Judicial Magistrate Court) Perambalur Taluk, Perambalur, is quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of. 19.09.2025 mtl Note to the Trial Court: This order is digitally signed and communicated electronically alone.
