Mr. Pooran Singh Rawat, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Narayan Dutt, Standing Counsel for the State. The petitioner claims that he has been working as Assistant Teacher (LT) in a Government School. It is his claim that he has been posted in a remote area for more than 19 years, but his claim for transfer has not been considered. He has made a representation dated 19.05.2025, which is still pending and not decided by the respondent no.2/Director, Secondary Education, Nanurkhera, Dehradun. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has served more than 19 years in remote area; he ought to have been transferred as per the provisions of the Uttarakhand Annual Transfer for Public Servants Act, 2017, but it has not been considered; he has also made a representation dated 19.05.2025, but it also went unanswered. Therefore, he submits that the respondent no.2/Director, Secondary Education, may be directed to decide the representation dated 19.05.2025, which is Annexure No.5 to the writ petition, in accordance with law. Learned State Counsel submits that the representation dated 19.05.2025, given by the petitioner, which is Annexure No. 5 to the writ petition, will be decided by the respondents within a period of 4 weeks. The Court takes on record the statement given by learned State Counsel. The writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.2/Director, Secondary Education, to decide the representation dated 19.05.2025, which is Annexure No.5 to the writ petition, within a period of 4 weeks from today, by a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law.
