This petition has been filed by petitioner with a prayer to quash the impugned show cause notice dated 12.8.2025 issued by learned Additional District Magistrate (Finance/Revenue), Bijnor, in Case No. D 20251316000 1348 (State Vs. Salman), under Section 3(1) of U.P. Control of Goondas Act, 1970, P.S. Nagal, District Bijnor. 2. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the five cases on the basis of which, the impugned notice had been issued could not bring the case under the purview of the U.P. Control of Goondas Act, 1970. Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance upon the judgement of a coordinate Bench of this Court dated 10.8.2023, passed in Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No. 12619 of 2023 ( Govardhan Vs. State of U.P.). 3. Matter requires consideration. 4. Learned AGA appears for all the respondent. 5. Respondents may file their counter affidavits within a period of three weeks. Rejoinder affidavit, if any, may be filed within two weeks thereafter. 6. List thereafter.
