The case of the petitioner is that he has applied for a passport on 17.04.2025. He was issued a notice seeking his explanation in respect of Case Crime No. 1510 of 2018, P.S. Dhoomanganj, Prayagraj. The petitioner submitted a reply on 27.07.2025 stating that he has no concern with the said case nor has ever been summoned therein. The case of the petitioner is that despite the said clarification given by the petitioner, respondent no. 2 is keeping the matter pending and has not taken any decision so far. 2. Although, notice on behalf of respondents no. 1, 2 and 3 has been accepted by the office of Additional Solicitor General of India but no one is present on behalf of the said respondents. 3. Having regard to the facts of the case and the submissions made, we dispose of the instant petition with direction to respondent no. 2 to take decision taking into consideration the reply of the petitioner dated 27.07.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with photocopy of the reply dated 27.07.2025 and supporting evidence.
