Mahesh Chandra Pant, Adv./Member The present C482 petition has been filed arising out of the proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. On 31.07.2025 the Daily Lok Adalat has directed for a proper status report. 2. The report has been received along with the covering letter dated 02.09.2025 which runs as under:- “It is to humbly submit before your kind self that case no.156 of 2022 in Judicial Magistrate Court, Narendra Nagar has been decided on 15.07.2025 with the judgment of acquittal of accused.” 3. A perusal of the report shows that the petition under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act does not survive at present as on 15.07.2025, the order of acquittal has been passed. 2 4. In view of the above, there is no need to proceed with the petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. 5. The award is passed accordingly. The petition is dismissed as infructuous.
