Heard the parties.
Petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No.31 of 2024, arising out of Kandra P.S. Case No. 37 of 2023 (S), for the offences registered under Section 387 of the I.P.C. and Section 27 of the Arms Act and Charge sheet has been submitted under Sections 387/ 307/109/34 of the I.P.C. and Sections 27 and 35 of the Arms Act, pending in the Court of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Seraikella.
On 12.05.2023 at about 9:00 P.M., co-accused persons are alleged to have demanded rangdari from the informant.
It was submitted that petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. and his name has come in confession of co-accused. It was further submitted that the named accused persons have been acquitted in separate trial. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Seraikella, in connection with S.T. Case No.31 of 2024, arising out of Kandra P.S. Case No. 37 of 2023 (S).
