The instant petition has been filed for following substantive relief:- “(i) Respondents be directed to grant the work charge status to the applicant from the date after the completion of eight years of service with all the benefits incidental thereof such as back wages, pension, seniority and pay fixation with interest.” 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions submits that the issue raised in the instant petition has finally been settled by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP(C) No. 23016 of 2023, titled as State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. vs. Surajmani & Ors., decided on 06.02.2025. He further submits that the petitioner shall be satisfied at this stage in case time bound directions are issued to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the case of the petitioner in light of what has been held in Surajmani’s case (supra). 5. Prayer being innocuous is allowed. Without adverting to the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the case of the petitioner within eight weeks from today strictly in terms of the judgment passed in Surajmani (supra). 6.
