ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking bail in Crime No.414/2024 of Visakhapatnam GRP Vijayawada. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/Al and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/state. 4. Case of the prosecution, in brief, isthat, on o2.12.2024 atabout 10.00 a.m. on receipt of credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the S.I of GRP Visakhapatnam along with his staff conducted checking at platform no.7 of Visakhapatnam Railway Station and z'_ df# E3gr:gr4f3S
2 found one person in susp'l6'ious circumstances. on seeing police, said person tried to escape, then police apprehended the said person and on questioning, he disclosed his identity particulars as that of Al and police found 10 kgs of dry ganja in his possession. Police seized the ganja, arrested the accused and got remanded him to judicial custody. 5. Heard. Perused the record. 6. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major part of investigation is completed except filing of charge sheet for want of RFSL report. 7. lt iS evident that the Petitioner has been in jud'ICial Custody Since o2.12.2024 and most of the investigation might have been completed by this time. Given that the Petitioner has been in remand Since 02.12.2024, this court views that most of the investigation concerning the petitioner's role in the commission of the alleged offence has likely been concluded. lt has been submitted that the petitioner has a permanent residence, and there is no credible apprehension of his fleeing away from justice. Additionally, since most of the witnesses are official, the release of the petitioner would not impede the investigation or tamper with the evidence. 8. ln view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, th'ls Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner/Al herein, on the following conditions.
(i) The petitioner/Al herein shall be released on his executing a personal bond for Rs.25,OOO/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of / ``- \" at# .I_ \`+ LLii=
