This Court, vide order dated 24.11.2023, passed in MCRC No. 8009 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the petitioner, namely, Asha Ram, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on occasion also, this Court had granted extension of time for conclusion of the trial vide order dated 03.10.2024 in CRMP No.2678/2024. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raipur, District – Raipur (C.G.) through the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 28.01.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the applicant is continuously being absent despite the Court’s relentless efforts and instructions to the Director General of Police, Chhattisgarh, to issue a warrant and ensure its execution, the accused remains untraceable. His current whereabouts are unknown, and the warrant has been returned unexecuted. Even after proclamation under Section 82 of the CrPC, the presence of the accused cannot be ensured, hence, trial is likely to take some time for its conclusion. Therefore, he prays for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
