Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. The petitioner by means of the present writ petition has prayed for the following relief:- "i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus for abating the entire proceeding of Ceiling Case No.3204/76 in view of section 3 of the Repeal Act, 1999. ii. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to respondents not to interfere in the peaceful possession of the petitioner. iii. Issue any other writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case. iv. Allow the writ petition with costs in favour of the petitioner." 3. The petitioner has remedy of filing application before the competent authority for getting the Ceiling Case No.3204/76 abated after promulgation of Repeal Act, 1999. 4. In such view of the fact, we dismiss the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the competent authority to get the Ceiling Case No.3204/76 abated.
