No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in Cr.No.616 of 2016 for the alleged offences under Sections 392 and 34 of the I.P.C. The accused committed theft of 6 1/2 sovereign of gold chain from the defacto-complainant. It is reported that the property has been recovered and handed over to the defacto-complainant. The defacto-complainant does not want to pursue the case any further. The accused has been attending the case since 2016. 3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused and since the accused has been facing the case since 2016, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.211 of 2017 of Judicial Magistrate Court, Dharapuram, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur, stands quashed.
