IA ------ Order No.03 / Dated : 22.04.2025 This is yet another case where the petitioner has been constrained to move this Court in the extra ordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking a direction to the Circle Officer for disposing of the application for mutation which was filed by the petitioner on 15.02.2025. 2. It is submitted by learned counsel that there is statutory time limit of 30 days under Section 14 of the Bihar Tenants’ Holding (Maintenance of Records) Act, 1973 which mandates the disposal of the mutation application within 30 days. 3. Respondent no.4- Circle Officer, Egarkund is directed to dispose of the mutation application filed by the petitioner on 15.02.2025 within one month of the order. Writ petition stands disposed of. In the event of non-compliance of the order, respondent no.4 will be personally liable to pay cost of Rs.25,000/- for causing undue delay. Interlocutory Application, if any, is disposed of.
