JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA O R D E R 03-04-2025 [1] Heard Mrs. Ayangleima, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents. [2] The petitioners who are the sons of late Keisham Kunjabihari Singh approached this Court for disposal of the representation dated 24-02-2025 submitted by them to the Director, Education (S), Government of Manipur for revert back the homestead land under Patta No. 921 (Old), 96 (New) covered by C.S. Dag No. 4027, having an area of 0.09210 hectare recorded in the name of Asst. Secretary Ngashi Rastra Lipi School to the legal heirs of late Keisham Kunjabihari Singh. [3] It is stated that late Keisham Kunjabihari Singh had donated a piece of homestead land in favour of the Ngashi Rastralipi High School in the year 1965. It is submitted that the said school was merged with Ram Lal Paul Higher Secondary School in the year 2020 and the school was no longer functioning from the premises and the premises were recorded in the name of Assistant Secretary, Ngashi Rastralipi School. It is submitted that the representation is still pending with the Director, Education (S), Government of Manipur (respondent No. 2). [5] The only prayer made in the writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 24-02-2025 submitted by the petitioners at the earliest. It is submitted that the writ petition may be disposed of at this stage. [6] Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents, has no objection in disposing of the writ petition by passing an innocuous order as prayed for. [7] Recording the submissions made at the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No. 2, Director, Education (S), Government of Manipur, to consider and dispose of the representation dated 24-02-2025 submitted by the petitioners by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [8] It is made clear that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case. [9] With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
