Das, learned counsel for the petitioner Ajay Mazumdar, who has filed his application under section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 with prayer for bail as the petitioner is behind bars since 30.01.2025 in connection with Barpeta Police Station Case No. 34/2025 registered under section 108 of the BNSS,2023. Heard Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State. The allegation against the petitioner is that he is involved in abetment to commit suicide which resulted in the suicidal death of the deceased. It is submitted that the petitioner is behind bars for more than 60 days and charge- sheet is not yet submitted. Case-diary is received and it is apparent that charge-sheet has not been submitted. I have considered the length of detention. The petitioner is hereby enlarged on bail of Rs. 50,000/- with a suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Barpeta.
