By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent Nos.3 & 4 to pay gratuity amount of Rs.6,03,037/- as awarded by the controlling authority. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that mother of the AMARDEEP CHOUBEY Digitally signed by AMARDEEP CHOUBEY Date: 2025.04.11 10:47:10 +0530 2 petitioner was employed as labour on daily wages under the respondent Nos.3 & 4 since 01.01.1962, who expired on 30/06/2006 after rendering services of 44 years. The respondent Nos.3&4 have not made payment of gratuity. Subsequent to which, the petitioner preferred a petition, before the Court of Controlling Officer under Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. The Controlling Officer has passed the order dated 26/08/2021 holding that the petitioner is entitled to receive Rs. 6,03,037/- as death-cum-retiral benefits. On the basis of this order, RRC has also been issued but the respondents has not taken any action on the same. Hence, this petition. 3. Learned State counsel opposes the petition. 4. After considering on the submission, this petition is disposed off. As the order dated 26/08/2021, passed by the competent authority is existing and the RRC issued is pending, before the respondent No.2, therefore, this petition is disposed off. The respondent No.2 is directed to expedite the proceeding on the RRC issued in this case and conclude the same within a time limit of 60 days. 5.
