Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents No.1 to 4. 2. Petitioner's grievance is that his life and property is in danger from his son and daughter-in-law. The petitioner in this respect has submitted an application to the respondent No.2-District Magistrate, Prayagraj. Accordingly, he prays that a direction be issued to the respondent No.2 under Rule 21 of UP Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2014 to consider the application of the petitioner. 3. Learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending and appropriate direction may be issued to the respondent No.2 to consider the grievance of the petitioner. 4. Accordingly, we dispose off the writ petition permitting the petitioner to file a fresh representation/application before the respondent No.2-District Magistrate, Prayagraj alongwith the earlier application/representation under Rule 21 of UP Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2014 within a period of three weeks from today. On submitting such application, the respondent No.2 shall consider and decide Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ramesh Kumar Yadav Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Sunil Kumar .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. And 5 Others .....Respondent(s) the application of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law. 5. In case, the respondent no.2 finds the threat perception of the petitioner bonafide, he shall ensure the protection of life and property of the petitioner.
