1. The applicant through instant application under Section 29A(4) & (5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (for short ‘1996’) Act is seeking extension of mandate of Arbitrator.
2. The applicant preferred an application under Section 11 of 1996 Act seeking appointment of an Arbitrator. By order dated 30.01.2023 of this Court, a Sole Arbitrator was appointed to adjudicate the dispute between the parties. Vide order dated 27.05.2025 of this Court, mandate of the Arbitrator was extended for a period of three months from 31.05.2025. The mandate of Arbitrator in terms of Section 29A of 1996 Act is going to expire on
31.08.2025.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that Arbitrator was appointed by this Court, thus, this Court can extend mandate of Arbitrator. Both the parties have filed claims/counter claims.
4. Mr. Nikhil Sabharwal, Advocate appeared through VC on behalf of the respondent.

Learned counsel for the respondent does not dispute the afore- stated factual/legal position and prayer of the applicant.
6. In the wake of statement of both sides, the present application is allowed and the mandate of Arbitrator is extended for a period of six months from 31.08.2025.
