Impugned in this petition is Detention Order No. 21/DMA/PSA/DET/2024 dated 20.05.2024 passed by District Magistrate, Anantnag, whereby the detenu has been detained under the preventive detention with a view to prevent him from acting in any manner prejudicial to the maintenance of security of state. 2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the detention order is expiring today, therefore, the present petition has become infructuous. 3. In view of submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition by afflux of time is rendered infructuous and, is accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the respondents to release the detenu forthwith, if still in custody provided he is not involved in any other offence.
