Petitioners were serving in a Scheme introduced by the State Government known as ‘Antar Gramin Sadak Nirman Yojana’. 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioners have sought the following reliefs:- “(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent authorities to adjust the petitioners in the Government Departments on the basis of the decision taken under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary, State of Uttarakhand. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent authorities to pay the arrears of the monthly salary of the petitioners and also direct the authorities to pay the regular monthly salary on a month to month basis.” 5. Learned State Counsel submits that petitioners were paid their regular salary till September 2017, however, the status 2025:UHC:6142-DB regarding salary after the said date is not known to him. He, however, submits that many of the petitioners have completed age of superannuation during pendency of the writ petition. 6. Having regard to the relief claimed by the petitioners, we think that ends of justice would be met if petitioners are permitted to approach the Competent Authority by making a representation. 7. Accordingly, we dispose of the writ petition with liberty to such of the petitioners, who are still in service, to make representation to respondent no.2-Secretary, Cane Development and Sugar Industries, Uttarakhand for their adjustment in other government departments. If petitioners make such representation within three weeks from today, respondent no.2 shall examine the matter and pass appropriate orders as per law within six months thereafter.
