------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH
----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Pran Pranay, Advocate For the State
: Mrs. Ruby Pandey, A.P.P. For the Informant : Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Advocate
--- 02/08.04.2025
Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No.650 of 2024, arising out of Dhurwa P.S. Case No. 181 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 376 & 506 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-VI-cum- Spl. Judge (CAW) FTC, Ranchi. On the pretext of marriage, the petitioner is alleged to have established consensual physical relationship with the victim. Later on, he refused to marry her. Both the parties are major. Mr. Rakesh Kumar, learned counsel has appeared on behalf of the informant. He has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that in a mediation proceeding the petitioner had agreed to marry the victim, but later on, he refused to do so. Considering the fact that there was consensual physical relationship between the parties, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-VI-cum-Spl. Judge (CAW) FTC, Ranchi, in connection with S.T. Case No.650 of 2024, arising out of Dhurwa P.S. Case No. 181 of 2024.
