Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the 1st & 2nd respondent. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, vide Ashok Leyland Employee's Co-operative House Construction Scheme, the subject land was allotted to the petitioner, who is one of the members of 3rd respondent society. Thereafter, an online application was filed by the petitioner for sub-division patta before the respondents. However, the said application was rejected by the respondent vide impugned SMS order dated 11.05.2025. Hence, this petition has been filed. 5. In reply, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the land allotted to the petitioner will come under the category of “gramanatham”. However, the online application was filed by the petitioner for issuance of “rural patta” and hence, the respondent had rejected the same. 6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.34010 of 2025 7. In the case on hand, initially, the subject land was allotted to the petitioner vide Ashok Leyland Employee's Co-operative House Construction Scheme. Thereafter, an online application was filed by the petitioner for sub-division patta before the respondents. 8. According to the respondents, the land allotted to the petitioner will come under the category of “gramanatham”. However, the online application was filed by the petitioner for issuance of “rural patta” and hence, the said application was rejected vide the impugned SMS order dated 11.05.2025. 9. In view of the above, this Court directs the petitioner to file a fresh application for issuance of patta for the subject land under the “gramanatham” category.
