(ORAL) CRM-M-28257-2025 was disposed of vide order dated 22.05.2025. In the said petition, the petitioner sought a direction to the respondents to conduct an impartial and fair investigation in FIR No.0055, dated 20.04.2025, under Sections 333, 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), 351(3), 191 & 190 of BNS, 2023, registered at Police Station Urban Estate, District Patiala. 2. A statement was made by learned State counsel that the matter was under investigation and that the grievance raised by the petitioner in his representation would be duly considered before the investigation was finalized. Accordingly, the petition was disposed of. 3. The instant contempt petition has been preferred with the grievance that despite passing of the aforesaid directions, no action has been taken and there has been an inordinate delay in the investigation. A compliance report by way of affidavit of Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, has been filed in Court today, which is taken on record. 4.1 It has been stated in the said affidavit that an impartial and fair investigation has been conducted into the matter after having taken into consideration the representation submitted by the petitioner. As a result, a cross case has been registered against the opposite party, and they have been arrested. Further, in the present case also, two accused, namely Kabir Gir and Gurpreet Singh Bagga, have been arrested on 18.09.2025, and the investigation is going on. It has also been averred that a show cause notice has been issued to the initial Investigating Officer, as he had failed to register the cross case within the stipulated time. 5. Since investigation is already underway and has progressed satisfactorily, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court. 6. The instant contempt petition is, accordingly, disposed of. 7. Rule is discharged. 8. Pending application(s), if any, also stands disposed of.
