Also heard Mr. S. Bora, learned counsel for the respondent. The instant interlocutory application has been instituted by the applicant, praying for the following releifs: “It is therefore, prayed that Your Lordships would be pleased to modify the Order dated 03.03.2025 and direct the Respondent No. 1 to appoint the applicant in the vacant position which are lying in the said Teliapara Middle School, Hatigorh in the District of Udalguri (BTR), Assam and / or pass any such other order/ orders as Your Lordships may deem fit and proper.” A perusal of the said reliefs, would go to mean that this Court is required to adjudicate upon the issue and pass further directions which were not there in the order, violation of which is alleged in this contempt petition. Such directions is not permissible to be so issued by this Court while exercising its contempt jurisdiction. Page No.# 3/3 In view of the above position, the prayer made in the present interlocutory application, would not mandate acceptance and the interlocutory application stands dismissed.
