The instant writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no.2/ Settlement Officer of Consolidation, District Jaunpur to decide the restoration application No. 847 in appeal No. 4665 of 2024 (Babu Chand and Others Vs. Vibhu Kumar and Others) during pendency of this writ petition before this Hon'ble Court." 3. Counsel for the petitioner submitted that within time restoration application filed on behalf of the petitioner in appeal before Settlement Officer of Consolidation is pending, as such, necessary direction be issued for expeditious disposal of the pending restoration application. He placed the order sheet of the pending proceeding in order to demonstrate that matter is not proceeding expeditiously. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue, the present petition stands disposed of finally with a direction to respondent No.2, Settlement Officer of Consolidation Jaunpur to consider and decide the aforementioned restoration application in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order after giving Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Kailash Nath Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C.
