By way of filing this writ petition, a prayer has been made for extending the service period of the petitioner till availability of the regularly selected candidates and quash and set-aside the oral termination order of the petitioner. 2. At the outset, it has been apprised by this Court that this writ petition was filed way-back in the year 2010 and no interim order was passed by this Court extending the services of the petitioner and more than 15 years have passed thereafter. Hence, by passage of time, this writ petition has become infructuous as [2025:RJ-JP:6171] (2 of 2) [CW-16163/2010] no cause of action survives with the petitioner to continue with this petition and the respondents might have filled the vacancies by initiating regular selection process. 3.
