By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following substantial relief: "(i) Issue a writ order of direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to promote the petitioner from the post of Head Constable to the Sub Inspector within a short stipulated period. (ii). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents specially the respondent No.- 3 to consider and decide the representation dated 2.6.2025 moved by the petitioner within a short stipulated period, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case" 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in above regard petitioner has already moved representation dated 2nd June, 2025 before the respondent No.- 3 but the same has not been decided till date. 4. Learned Standing Counsel does not have any objection in the event representation of the petitioner is being directed to be disposed of in accordance with law, may be in a time bound period. 5. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.- 3 to look into and consider the representation of the petitioner dated 2nd June, 2025 and decide the same as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Mohammad Umar Khan Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C.
